Donate to help us make more StarFish Videos
We create videos at the Starfish Video Project to introduce you to hardworking, deserving families, who could significantly change their lives if they had access to even a small amount of financial resources.
Through a local social worker, we make a plan to help these people, and our videos connect you – generous people (of average means) – who understand that what may be very little money in our society can make all the difference in India, Peru, or elsewhere.
These films change lives.
We need to raise money for a new video camera.
ALL of the money collected for the families (through the Family Campaigns) will be used only for those families. None of that money is used for administrative, fund-raising or production costs. While the StarFish Video Project is seeking grants to cover these other expenses, including the purchase of a new video camera (we’ve been borrowing cameras for most of our previous shoots), we ask that you consider making a donation directly to our General Fund, which is primarily used for the production expenses associated with creating our videos about the families. A new camera, with tripod and accessories will cost approximately $5000.
We keep our expenses minimal
The director, camera operator, soundman and editor (George Rosenfeld) receives no money for this work. Additionally, we will soon have a volunteer crew based in Urubamba, Peru, and the cost of production and travel will be reduced to a minimum.
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to the StarFish Video Project General fund, using the buttons below.
The StarFish Video Project is a fiscally sponsored project of Marinlink, a California non profit corporation exempt from federal tax under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Service #20-0879422.
All donations received are fully tax-deductible and a receipt to that effect will be issued.
